America’s City.
The founding of Kenner, Louisiana traces back to 1855. Today, its total area footprint is 15.2 square miles and the city is home to an estimated 66,448 residents. Kenner is bounded to the north (Lake Pontchartrain) and the south (Mississippi River) by two of America’s most significant waterways.
--
The city’s historical district, Rivertown, includes twelve blocks that hug Kenner’s southern border with the Mississippi River. One of the district’s most prominent features is Lasalle’s Landing. The Landing marks the termination point for the city’s most important commercial corridor, Williams Blvd., as well as the European’s first landing spot in the region.
