A return trip to Southeast Louisiana. Mile Marker 217 falls in the middle portion of the Bonne Carre Spillway Bridge.

The Spillway Bridge is approximately 58,077 feet long. It falls into the concrete trestle category of bridges. In the big picture, the bridge connects St. John the Baptist Parish (LaPlace) with the City of Kenner (Williams Blvd.). But the majority of the structure cover the portions of the LaBranche Wetlands and Lake Pontchartrain that fall within St. Charles Parish.
