Their 2024 Summary of Agriculture & Natural Resources tabulates the value of the state’s agricultural resources. One of the focus areas is Plant Enterprise commodities.
Three commodity categories within the Plant Enterprise group had a gross farm value of $$2,136,680,910 in 2024.
Acadia
The gross farm value for Plant Enterprises in the Acadia region was $621,270,777. All three of the major commodities reported some level of activity, with Sugarcane accounting for 48.4% of the total value.
Baton Rouge Core
The gross farm value for Plant Enterprises in the Baton Rouge Core region was $338,018,167. All three of the major commodities reported some level of activity, with Sugarcane accounting for 88.1% of the total value.
Central
