1: Indiana

The Indiana Hoosiers allowed 3,536 yards of total offense. They’ve been stingy when it comes to opponents’ rushers. They’ve allowed 2,504 (71%) yards through the air and 1,032 (29%) rushing yards.


2. Oregon

Oregon allowed 3,743 yards of total offense. Their defense has performed better against the run. They’ve allowed 2,192 (58%) yards through the air and 1,551 (42%) rushing yards.


3: Miami (FL)

The Miami (FL) Hurricanes allowed 3,991 yards of total offense. Their defense has been much better against the run. They’ve allowed 2,815 (70%) passing yards and 1,176 (30%) rushing yards.


4: Ole Miss

Ole Miss is heading into the CFP Semifinal with the largest tally of yards earned by opponents.  The team’s opponents recorded 4,761 yards of total offense through 14 games. It was a pretty even balance in terms of the passing-rushing distribution. Opponents recorded 2,716 (57%) of those yards through the air and 2,045 (43%) on the ground.
